mouth them like words (2026)

exhibition essay here
Mouth Them Like Words is a series of drawings that rework botanical illustration as a site of translation. Moving between observation and invention, plant forms are allowed to shift, hybridize, and exceed their classification. The work proposes a counter-archive grounded in relation rather than representation, where the act of drawing holds what cannot be fully named.

Exhibited at StFX Art Gallery, Antigonish, Canada (February 25 - April 4)
